) The young children in our churches are growing up in a world dominated by secular rock music. They are feeling comfortable with it, identifying with it, choosing it, and being molded by its corrupt values. They must have a godly alternative.2) Modern music* is one of the most effective means of communication in today's world. Our people need to be aware of this.
3) Modern Christian music reinforces basic Christian values in the hearts of our youth and challenges them to seek a deeper experience with God.
4) Modern Christian music daily ministers to millions of people every day all over the world. More of our people, young and old, are turning to it for spiritual strength and comfort.
5) If we believe in Sola Scriptura, “The Bible and the Bible Only”, we will realize that the Bible has never expressed condemnation for any music style. Neither should we.
6) Young people who listen mostly to modern Christian music tend to be the spiritual leaders among our youth.
7) Modern forms of rock music predominates virtually every aspect of our society (television, radio, grocery stores, restaurants, and even Christian TV & radio). It’s an integral part of our culture today. Our people need to be assured that the “styles” of music are not bad guy but rather the unwholesome message that the music carries with it.
* Modern Music refers to all contemporary music styles in our culture, including rock, pop, etc.
