Contemporary Christian music contains a gold mine of faith-building lyrics and the lifestyles of these Christian musicians are most often praiseworthy role models of integrity, purity, and faith. You may feel uncomfortable with some of the modern music styles due to personal taste or associations but try to be objective in your assessment. Examine the lyrical content of the songs and discuss them with your kids. Let your kids see that your faith is built upon the clear principles of God’s word, not on personal taste or traditions. Also, Christian concerts are an excellent source of wholesome entertainment that many kids love.
